Indeed there is a difference between what humankind thinks of as "intelligence," "wisdom," and "superior knowledge," and what the Bible and God considers those things to be. The choice to love and follow God places a person in the place of being aided by God, whether or not you have any worldly markers of intelligence.

Ironically, our mental and intellectual abilities come from the same source as the rain! Thus the most intelligent, or educated atheist, in human terms, owes that gift to the God they choose to disbelieve.

Matthew 5:45
