There comes a moment in each life when we need a lift up, a pause in the pace of events, and a refreshment to the soul.
In this piece I’m sharing some of my favorite songs and singers whose music blesses and fills me with joy. Of course the gift is from God, but God has blessed these musicians and they are sharing in a special way.
Its a good thing that we are promised eternal life in heaven because that won’t be enough time to praise God and to describe heaven’s beauty. This first song, “I Could Sing About Heaven For A Million Years” tells about this challenge.
This life we live here is full of trouble, mistakes, suffering, and much more. Life seems such a struggle, and it is actually, but God knows about that. He came here and became one of us so that He could be fair, by knowing our troubles He could better help us to overcome those troublesome things, and then through the experience of overcoming, become re-created to be like Him in our inner character. It’s in learning this lesson that we find grace in abundance, to forgive us of our waywardness and weaknesses.
The challenges seem overwhelming though often we may feel strong and willing, but then the reality hits and we crumble. That’s when, humbly, on our knees we learn how to “Stand,” really Stand, and from there we learn how to Walk our way to heaven, one step at a time, with His help.
He is our only help and we need to learn to trust that, to grow our faith in His promises. We want to stand in His presence, without losing our ability to stand or to breathe!
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
