Thanks for your logical write-up here. It deserves a longer response, so this is just a post of key thoughts from my experience. More to be written in my own article soon.

First, I consider the Creator God to be the highest of all scientists. Genuine science will not disagree with Scripture because God "invented" science, while humanity has struggled to avoid making stupid mistakes, which typically last hundreds of years. Stubbornness? Blindness?

Second, "literalism" from the Bible doesn't mean to take what is written directly as literal in all cases, since a huge portion of scripture is symbolic. But the Bible's intended meaning through the symbols, and in the whole view of scripture, is literally true. Especially for prophecy. The Bible's meaning has to be comprehensive and in consideration of all scripture because God has written it with a consistent pattern of repeat and then enlarge. He repeats stories and events, but each time with greater detail. By the end of the Bible we have a very detailed tapestry of meaning that is consistent, and isn't dislodged by silly suppositions from human philosophy.

Surface study only touches a portion of what the Bible has for us to know. We must compare scripture with scripture and prayerfully ask for God's understanding to be made clear.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

This is God's mention of what we find reflected in Quantum science!

Hebrews 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Then our Creator is described thus:

Hebrews 12:2

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

As Creator He understood all of the universe, but chose to first address the issues that separated us from access to Himself. When we learn the lessons of love, and cooperate with Christ's desire to transform our inner character to make us fit for heaven, we will have access to that entire universe in the company of the Creator Himself, to be taught of Him about Love and to correct our misunderstanding of physics that has painstakingly been developed by trial and error by sinful and faulty humanity, who typically avoid reading God's Word.

I see no contradiction between genuine science and the scriptures. Most of the world fails to understand what the scriptures reveal of science, as a beginning point, then they try to redesign science to fit their mistaken view of scripture. That breaks the science and it breaks the Bible too.

The "church" has long claimed to dictate the interpretation of scripture, after having corrupted it for over a thousand years, deliberately removing God's eternal gospel from the true power of God. Galileo stands with Luther, who was able to "see" that the Bible taught things very different from what the church dictated.

The entire reformation was about God encouraging humans to relearn the gospel and to set aside the misguided Creeds and Philosophies that distorted what the Bible actually teaches. They were met with the same resistance which Galileo encountered.

We now live near the end of human history's disastrous folly, of setting ourselves in the place of God. If we want to go on to a better future, we must return our attention to God and seek Truth with His help in understanding the Bible, based upon what He's given us in the bible, not what the library books from humans tell us about the Bible. God's Word is direct, honest, and it even accords with genuine science when properly understood! That's where Galileo's faith resided, and mine too.
